International Link

News Flash!!

- we have now been granted an International School award by the DCFS.

Our school has an international link with Twatemwa Basic School in Kitwe, Zambia.

Mrs Whitman, our Headteacher, visited Twatemwa at Easter 2006.  She brought back some superb pictures, some of which can be seen below.

This is Mr Chilufya.  He is the Acting Headteacher at Twatemwa Basic School.  He visited Curry Mallet in October 2006.  He told us some fantastic stories and made us think very carefully about the way we lead our lives.

Sharing Learning

Class 3 have sent their projects on water to Twatemwa Basic School in Zambia.  In exchange, the children of Twatemwa have produced powerpoint presentations, also about water. This has enabled the children from both schools to see how water is used in different parts of the world.

A Big Trip!

In February 2009 two of our teaching staff - Mr Wayland and Mrs Devereux vistited Twatemwa Basic School. They lived with two teachers from the school and spent several days seeing what happens in Twatemwa and in other schools in Kitwe.
